Anyone with a bit of imagination can look at a garment and obtain that same image you see on the video.

But we try clothes because we want to know how they fit *us*, not how they are supposed to look on a image of us.

We need to feel the fabrics, the movement they make, how they flatter parts of our bodies. We need to know if the sleeves are long enough, how much tight an elastic is, etc.

I don't believe any software could provide this in the short term, but I think that something that was able to capture the 3D shape of our naked bodies and render some clothing simulation on top may have some future, but it might need more effort from the clothes maker to be able to provide a realistic 3D model of the garments :)

I agree — simply overlaying the clothing on the person doesn't share much.

By then, I expect high-quality 3D cameras to be available.

I also agree that there is some elements which will not be shown, like the fabrics feel, stretch, warmth, etc.
